WoW Cooking Guide
For those of you who need to know what cooking
is and ho w it works in WoW here
is a quick summary + To Lvl to 450 on page 2 here ->
World Of
Warcraft Cooking Guide.
Cooking is a secondary skill and comes in very
handy as it can be performed by any class/race and generally
used to restore health. Melee classes with no healing abilities
need to buy food and eat it after combat to restore their
health. Healers also require food to restore their low health
or when mana is running abit low. Out of fighting you can cook
to restore your health quicker before going into battle again.
Meat or eggs for example that you come across or any fish (if
you have fishing)that you catch can be cooked and eaten to
restore health points or create a special long lasting buff
that maybe you need before doing a raid.

Cooking and fishing go hand in hand and
to level up easier in cooking, fishing is highly recommended.
You will thereby be leveling up your cooking and fishing skill
together.
What is needed to cook? Basically you need to be able to make
fire (flint & Tinder & wood) get trained to cook by a
NPC trainer & recipes and ingrediants like spices can be
bought at the auction house or gained from visiting certain
players in-game. A good amount of Gold can be made as well from
selling your cooked recipes to players that require the food or
maybe the buff that the recipe gives them. So start slaving
away in front of that fire to make some gold okay. But this is
not the best way to make gold, the best methods are discussed
here.(hyper to gold guide)
In the past cooking was not that popular but
the demand for it has definately grown since the Burning
Crusade expansion opened up many more opportunities related to
cooking.
With regards to aquiring new
recipes...
Maybe ask some friends to be on the lookout for
some recipes for you. You may gain a recipe as a reward for a
quest or maybe from a monster or chest, or just buy them from a
merchant.
Remeber to have a look at the auction house for recipes too. If
you need gold click here.
Some important info...
2 New recipes you might be interested in to
level up your cooking skill to 300 without fishing are Charred
Bear Kabobs and Juicy Bear Burgers. These recipes can be
purchased from Bale (Horde) or Malygen (Alliance) in
