WoW Blacksmithing | Blacksmith Guide
For those of you interested in becoming a WoW
Blacksmi th here is a quick
summary of what it entails and how to level up to 450
further below...
Blacksmiths do what?
First off Blacksmithing is a primary skill. WoW
Blacksmithing and mining go hand in hand in WoW as miners will
collect different types of gems and ores and smelt them into
bars which are used in blacksmithing recipes. So obviously if
you have mining (even though tedious and time consuming) you
can save money on buying the bars needed for blacksmithing
recipes. If you have tons of gold (if not the Ultimate WoW Gold
Guide is 4 you) you can just buy the required bars / mats at
the auction house.

This option will allow you to level up your blacksmithing
very quickly without mining but will be expensive.
Blacksmiths basically take bars of metal, work them into highly
required objects such as uniquely crafted arms and armor that
only a blacksmith can make and cannot be bought from merchants
or after killing a monster. Special sharpening or weight stones
that improve a weapons damage are made by blacksmiths as well.
Being a Paladin or a warrior and having Blacksmithing can be
advantageous as you can create your own weapons, mail armor and
trade items. You can obviously make these weapons as well for
the classes that can use them.
Therefore being a blacksmith can definately make you some
much needed gold on the side.
Some of the items that blacksmiths create are used in
certain recipes for other professions or required in certain
quests. So if you create these much needed or required items,
put them on the auction house to supplement your income. Its
all about the money hey. Need a gold guide?
What do you need to start?
Basically you need to be trained in blacksmithing by a NPC
blacksmithing trainer. Buy yourself a blacksmiths hammer from a
trade merchant and bang away we go.
